Scott Kelby's World Wide Photowalk

On the first Saturday of October for the past 10 years, photographers from around the world get out and meet up with other photographers in their town to walk around and take photos, socialize, make new friends and be a part of great cause. Scott Kelby's World Wide Photowalk supports The Springs Of Hope Kenya Orphanage, an organization that feeds, houses, educates and empowers young orphans.

This year was the first year I joined and walked with fellow photogs in Pittsburgh, PA. The event was co-sponsored by Captured:Pittsburgh a non-profit organization devoted to educating, supporting and promoting local creative talents. We started our walk on the campus of Chatham University and continued thru the street of Shadyside. Later in the evening there was an additional walk thru the streets of Polish Hill.

In addition to the photowalk I got the added benefit of photographing some of the most beautiful buildings and churches in the city of Pittsburgh since Pittsburgh had their Doors Open Pittsburgh event. This is an annual 2 day event that provides access to explore and experience a collection of iconic and newly designed buildings in and around the city of Pittsburgh.
