An Evening at WalMart SuperCenter Hotel

Day 1

A Perfect first day! I think that St. Christopher medal that Sue gave us, that was blessed by the priest, made all the difference. We drove for about 350 miles to our first stop, Wauseon, Ohio, right across the border from Michigan. We’re staying at the WalMart SuperCenter Hotel. The accommodations are wonderful with a lovely shopping center nearby, plenty of parking and a movie theater within walking distance. There’s also a beautiful yard right outside our door. Dinner on property was especially delicious! Grilled tuna steaks over a bed of butter crunch lettuce with a lemon and olive oil vinaigrette dressing topped with walnuts and a homegrown tomato.

I'm looking forward to getting back on the road early tomorrow morning. Our next stop might be Mackinac City, Michigan where we will spend the day on Mackinac Island where they filmed the legendary movie, Somewhere In Time, 36 years ago! If it rains, we’ll keep driving to our most northern destination, Munising, Michigan and catch Mackinac Island on the way back. That’s the beauty of being on a road trip.

We just watched the Full Moon rise over the parking lot and I told Bobby, he makes all my dreams come true. ❤️
